In response to the outbreak of COVID-19, the Bureau has enhanced its epidemic prevention measures to guarantee Service Capacity

With the recent COVID-19 outbreak in Taiwan, the Bureau has activated Phase 1 of the zoned working areas to lower the risk of cross-transmission and ensure normal operations of official matters. A total of 24 people including the Deputy Director have been allocated to work in alternating shifts on the 4th floor. The Bureau has completed testing of its facilities for alternating shifts and off-site work on May 18th to maintain the Bureau’s service capacity through electronic official documents, communications, and final approvals of attendance being done online. All official documents and papers from off-site locations are disinfected first to avoid indirect transmission, and distancing is sufficiently maintained at off-site locations to prevent COVID-19 from getting worse. In addition, the Bureau has upgraded its epidemic prevention control measures since May 12th to have a single entrance/exit, have all personnel wear masks, and use the real-name registration system. Starting from May 17th, single entrances/exits will have disinfection gates and thermal imaging equipment to safeguard the health of the Bureau personnel. In addition, the public will be guided to the waiting areas before being notified to meet with the case officers to maintain the Bureau’s capacity for public services.
